Edge of the Empire: Han Solo
Solo is one of my favorite Star Wars movies. It’s just really entertaining. I’m not here looking for a debate, I’m not interested in your theories as to why it sucks. I enjoyed it.
Han Solo is one of my favorite characters. I love his character arc from selfish smuggler, to heroic Rebel hero, to broken man who has nothing left and is trying to just make it by in the world.
This article shows how Solo ties in perfectly to Edge of the Empire, which inspired me: How does Han Solo play out as an EotE character?
I imagine Han is a starting character thrown into a party of heroes who have about 50 points more XP than him.
I’ve given Han a higher Obligation (20 for being in a party of 2: Han and Chewie), then an additional 10 to give him 10 higher XP. I then gave him an additional 10xp to represent his time in the Imperial Army and his brief stint in the Academy. As a Corellian, he gets an automatic rank in Piloting (Planetary or Space), and I chose Planetary, to represent his great speeder skills seen in the beginning of the film. He also gets to have a rank 3 skill of Piloting (Space) at character creation. His Responsibility (Q’ira) obligation represents his desire to return to Corellia to reunite with her.
