Warhammer Fest News: Age of Sigmar 2.0, Necromunda & More
This weekend has been Warhammer Fest at Warhammer World in Nottingham. Lots of news came out today, so let’s dive into it.
Age of Sigmar 2.0: Big news there. They’re updating the rules which will be backwards compatible with previous warscrolls (good news for both my Bretonnians and Dispossessed), and are expanding on the lore, which is good, because I still can’t figure out what’s going on in the mortal realms. They’re adding in a bunch more Stormcast Eternals and new undead forces which look really really cool. Almost enough to make me build a new army. Almost. Once I see new information, I’ll pass it along to all of you.

Necromunda: I’ve found the first gang I don’t have any interest in playing! The Cawdors are coming out, a new gang of scummy dregs. Also, some cool new weapon packs for the Van Saars which I’ll be picking up as soon as I’m back from Bahrain.
There’s also new models of pets for your gangs, so… Yay!
–
Adeptus Titanicus: They’re putting out a new edition of Adeptus Titanicus, which, when it first arrived, introduced the rules for Epic 40k. The models are scaled-down versions of standard 40k units, meaning you can run much larger armies. The models for Adeptus Titanicus look pretty nice. Definitely worth checking out.
–
Plastic Sisters of Battle: Finally plastic Sisters! It’s been like 10 years since 40k switched over to making everything plastic, and we still haven’t seen plastic sisters.
It’s been so long that it’s turned into a joke, like the return of Squats. Another army I’m tempted to pick up once they’re out. They’re due out by the end of the year.

Rogue Trader: Not much news about this yet, but there’s a new skirmish game coming. Looks like it’ll be a standalone game, with some really nice looking chaos and rogue trader minis. No news, but again, I’ll update you once I know more.
