New Adventure Reveal: Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage

Not only are we getting Dragon Heist, an adventure for levels 1-5, the D&D team sneakily revealed another brand new adventure on last night’s Stream of Many Eyes: Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage.

For anyone unfamiliar with Waterdeep, there is a massive dungeon beneath Waterdeep called Undermountain, created initially as a dwarven mine, then taken over and expanded by Halaster, known colloquially as the Mad Mage. Undermountain is a vast network of winding, complicated tunnels and chambers, a definite death-trap for those who aren’t well prepared and careful.

This adventure is for levels 6-20, which definitely stands out. As I noted on the previous news post, it was odd that the previous adventure was for levels 1-5, but now we know why. Undermountain will be a fantastic challenge for players, and I look forward to seeing what they throw at us.

In addition, they revealed the great new dice for the adventures, including a deluxe-sized D20 and an HP counter which looks gorgeous.
