Fantasy Football

I’ve mentioned before that I have no geeks in my office. None. I work in an IT department, and not a one of them is a geek. Can you believe that? Ugh.

Anyway, all the guys in the office are playing Fantasy Football, since the season is started up. I was asked if I wanted in. I declined.

Why? Because the only reason I know the rules to football is because of Madden 98 on the Nintendo 64. The only Fantasy Football I’ve ever played was my goblin team of Blood Bowl who were known to be really fantastic at losing every game ever.

When I hear about Fantasy Football, this is what I think of:

See? I just can’t take it seriously.

Now, if someone where to come up with a Fantasy Quidditch league, I’d be all in.

I know there are a lot of geeks out there who are also sports fans. How do you keep track of all the statistics in both Football and D&D?

Here is a great run down of DnD vs Fantasy Football:

I have been playing Fantasy Football for 20+ years. It is called Blood Bowl. That is true Fantasy Football.

I did play normal fantasy football but it required a lot of tracking of players. I think I lost a game once because I was on vacation and did not know that my kicker was injured and was not going to play. Pretty much any kicker is worth like 3 points for a game.
