We end up playing so much these days - one campaign run by Girlfriend DM, another run by me, an episodic Shadowrun game by Raymz (Polyhedral GM) and an infrequent Star Wars SAGA campaign by Ruffi (Polyhedral GM) that it's hard to even mark any day as a regular gaming night! Sadder still is that I'm thinking about weaseling into a spot for a 4E Dark Sun game, and setting up a solo campaign for Girlfriend DM.

My gaming group meets every Tuesday. We always have some form of gaming, whether that be a board game or some roleplaying. Usually, everyone shows up for gaming since most of the group share the apartment we play at. However, if something comes up, we are always ready to play something at any given time.

I'm the DM for my Friday night game. I put together the group almost two years ago, largely from folk who didn't know one another. When I can't play (normally the first Friday each month) the group takes a break. However, this week there's a change in the normal schedule as my best friend is coming into town and I'm "taking the night off." To my great delight, the group is soldiering on and playing something without me. Looks like Munchkin Quest is in the lead at the moment.

Yeah! A lot of times when the regulars can't all make it on the designated night, we'll use the opportunity to play a board game. Sometimes fantasy based like Talisman, sometimes not, like Acquire. We have a great time, and its good opportunity to try new games!
