I was gone for over 6 weeks. Back home in Spokane, Washington. It was a lovely visit but something was missing… oh yeah… gaming
There really aren’t any of my gamer friends around Spokane.
The withdrawls were getting so serious I was even tempted for a short while to find the local game store to see if I could join in on someone else’s game. Boy would that be a stretch for me… I am so shy that the idea sounded very scary but then again… the lack of playing was almost worse!
I am back home now. And since I have returned my husband has refueled my gamer quotient. We have been chatting about new and upcoming campaigns. Not to mention my newfound interest in the Savage World System. I have been really enjoying it.
In the S.W. system, character creation is wonderfully easy. To make a basic human novice character it takes all of 15 minutes and if you’re looking for a novice who is a bit more advanced it still only takes about 45 minutes.
In addition, we have been having great fun adapting our favorite interests/games to S.W. For instance, I have been working on a Stargate campaign for the hubby and I discovered that I could easily make it Savage Stargate. The core rule book for Stargate still provides all the fluff I could ever need.
We are also going to be starting a campaign of Savage Star Trek. I am truly excited about all these new possibilities. And besides it just feels good to be back!

All these SW postings keeps beating me down to that fact that I still haven’t shelled out the $10 for the rulebook.
I talked to Clint Black about the $10 price tag. He said the head of Pinnacle must have sold his soul to keep the book that cheap.
This is what online games are for. I’m stuck in DC for the summer and don’t know anyone here, but I have Midgard on mondays and 4e on thursdays, so gaming is one hobby I can keep up with.
I sympathise with Bonemaster about SW. I keep hearing good things about it from left right and center, but I have so many games to try that I already own, it’s hard to justify buying another one.
