My Daily RPG Schedule

I don’t know how everyone else’s workplaces work, but where I work, I usually get about 15 minutes in a day to just sit at the computer and do some non-work related surfing. I like to keep abreast of what’s going on in gaming, so I usually make a quick sweep of the internet like so:

1. Swing by the front page of ENWorld. I get to see what publishers are up to, who’s coming out with what material for D&D (and occasionally some other systems), and see the latest blogs from the people over there.

2. A quick browse of the ENWorld Forums, scanning primarily over the D&D 4e Rules section, as well as the 4e Fan Creations and House Rules. I get to see what the latest confusion is over the rules, and see if anyone has finally come up with some decent rules for a 4e Druid.

3. Head on over to The RPG Bloggers Network. I usually scan back as far as I haven’t seen, opening up new tabs of anything that catches my eye. Most often it’s people like Chatty DM, Stupid Ranger, Beneath the Screen, and The Fine Art of the Near TPK.

And you’re done! It took you all of 10 minutes.

Does anyone else have a consistent way they surf the net, or is it just me?

Yeah. I first hit up Travian and Ikariam, followed by my three Yahoo accounts. Then I hit Privateer Press and see what is new. That’s pretty much it for me.

I usually just hit the RPG Bloggers Network and bounce around from there. I might check my favorite online comics, look over some free rpg downloads and then I just hit the links to whatever catches my eye.

First I check my own blog for comments, then I hit the RPG Bloggers’ Network. After that, it varies–usually I’ll stop by the Victorious Press forums to see if my charming coworkers have any new assignments for me, then hit up a couple of my message-board communities.

I really don’t understand people having time to websurf at work–it’s never been something I could do at my jobs. (I wish I could; my current job keeps me out of the house 12 hours a day once I factor in commute time.)

Yeap, pretty much the same as you are. I do pop in the Candlekeep forum once in a while. Trying to get myself in the Campaign Builders Guild once in a while but haven’t been able to make it a habit yet.
