The Conclusion to Shadowfell Keep
After five sessions, The Keep on the Shadowfell has come to a close. And none too soon. On Sunday, I’ll be off in Atlanta for business for two weeks. Two whole weeks without the group!
I’ve been using Fiery Dragon Games’ counter collection for “The Castle of Shadows” for all my monsters, while the players have been using D&D Minis. It helps to keep the two separate, since the players can always see where they are on the battlefield and easily identify the wee beasties. However, as we took a quick break before the final battle, I realized, “wait a minute, I have all the figures I need for this encounter!”

So, digging through my collection I gathered up two skeletons, a Deathlok Wight, and a Necromancer figure I had, and we sat down and played. The heroes weren’t even bloodied as they easily wrapped up the adventure, killing Kalarel before he was pulled into the shadowgate.
All in all, I think it went swimmingly, and I look forward to moving on to Thunderspire Labyrinth.
